Jonathan James : Electric Snow.
Classics for a new age.
"Electric Snow" tries to
capture multiple genres of instrumental music ranging from contemporary
classical compositions to epic new age/film music.
All compositions on this album are original works, performed by top musicians
and orchestrated by a team of talented arrangers.
This Album features the composition "Roger's Film," which is a tribute to the
late film critic, Roger Ebert. Roger Ebert spent his career at the Chicago
Sun-Times, starting as a young graduate from the University of Illinois and
continuing through his fight and struggle with thyroid cancer. Throughout his
life, Roger Ebert embodied the optimism of the American spirit which I tried to
incorporate in this musical tribute.
Finally, "Electric Snow" is an album that I began working on five years ago.
Throughout this process I have collaborated with dozens of musicians, multiple
composers, arrangers and recording engineers, all of whom have brought their
specific talents, skills, and expertise to this momentous project. Without them,
"Electric Snow" would not have been possible. Therefore, I would like to offer
my thanks to the following individuals:
- Ari Fisher- Arranger and Orchestrator
- Jim Reeves - Recording Engineer
- Dr. Jeffrey Kowalkowski - Conductor and Composer
- Ben Davis - Arranger
- Dean Landon - Producer and Recording Engineer
- And to the dozens of musicians for their performances.
It has been an honor working with these top-notch artists. I look forward to the
opportunity to working with them again soon and to share in our continued
success in making great music. Thank you.
