Maryse Carlin : Rameau - Pieces De Clavecin En Concerts - Forqueray Suites 4 and 5.
Crisp, dynamic harpsichord.
Though he named them "Pieces for Harpsichord," Jean-Philippe Rameau's compositions are usually performed by chamber ensembles, so this lithe harpsichord-only recording by Maryse Carlin is a real treat. She's known for her ability to sustain long, sonorous lines on the harpsichord, a gift that really shines through on this album and benefits both Rameau and Antoine Forqueray's strong sense of melody.
