Mountain Mirrors : Asylum Acres.
Moody melodic prog rock.
Asylum Acres is sort of a concept album about places you'd visit in
dreams, out of body experiences, astral projection etc. Not a "musical novel",
but more like a collection of horror/suspense short stories (think Poe,
Lovecraft or Stephen King) - laced with mystical and organic sound. These songs
are as dark as they are strangely uplifting.
Jeff Sanders - vocals, guitars, synths, field recording
Steve Riley - drums and percussion
Kurt Baumer - violins
Dave DeMarco - bass guitars, baritone guitar on "Asylum Acres"
Bass on "Spell" by Phil Rohr
Recorded and engineered by Sanders, DeMarco, Baumer and Riley
Mixed by Johnny Geib at 10X10 Studios
Mastered by Timothy Stollenwerk at Stereophonic Mastering
Cover Artwork by Richey Beckett
This album is dedicated in loving memory to Bertha Y. Boucher.
I miss you, MÈmËre.
