The album is both dense and minimal: there are stripped down instrumental tracks peppered between complex, percussive laden vocal tracks. There is a wonderful confluence between the complex instrumentation and layered, reverb drenched vocals. As an entire album, Bellwether. Arbutus moves and drifts. It changes mood and invites the listener along on a ride through highs and lows, relaxation and excitement.
