Soleil Vert : Genetiquement modifie.
Composed electronic music contrasted with ambient nature.
As a concept album about genetically modified food, "Génétiquement modifié" is
made of interrupted sequences, spliced fragments, inspired by the techniques
used for the modification of living organisms, at the cellular level, using
foreign DNA... all transposed into sound manipulation and textures.
Heavy bass pedal notes under harsh percussion and flickering synths.
Tangerinesque monosynth solos over a minimal tapestry... Harsh glitchy rhythms,
raspy bass lines, minimalists sequences, this album is a departure from the
techniques Soleil Vert used before... This is Soleil Vert, but Genetically
Modified!
