Playing with bewitching prowess, violinist Jeanne Johnson gives an absolutely dazzling performance on Music of the Spheres and is supported by the stately and graceful playing of Baroque cellist Joanna Blendulf and harpsichordist Yuko Tanaka. Johnson has both amazing techcnial skill and artistic flair, and she plays music with a refreshing sense of gusto and joy. In fact, this entire album could be used as a response to anyone who finds classical music too academic, aloof, or intimidating. Stunningly effusive.
