As lovely and detailed as the arrangments are on William Brooks' other albums, we really love these sixteen stripped-down/unplugged versions of his most moving songs. The natural blues influence in his music really comes to the fore, but in a subdued, rainy-day kind of way. Brooks' weather-beaten romanticism wears as well as fine old leather, especially on songs like "Hideaway," "Still Waiting," and "Silent Wings."
