LehtMoJoe's Hindsight sees the artist and producer expand his musical vision into an increasingly exciting territory. From the other worldly and spacey "Absolute Zero" to the hard charging electronic singed rock anthem "Forever and a Day", Leht deftly handles the angsty overlap of neighboring genres without overwhelming the listener. Noticeably less playful than previous releases, Hindsight is very much a product of the times, highlighted by the standout track "Cancelled". "It's a critique of the omnipresent narcissism in culture, which goes well beyond just social media's sanctimony." says LehtMoJoe. Expect more trademark synth work punctated with crunchy guitars and guest vocalists on his latest release.
After a 5-year hiatus, Kalotone returns with 'Oubaitori' - an eclectic mix of Japanese-themed electronica. Around 10 beats per minute slower than his typical Dubstep sound, but still full of rich melodic synths, progressive structures, and carefully chosen instrumentation.
This album consists of a collection of unique dance beats as well as some down-beat ambient and experimental pieces to bring the album to a close. Track-by-track, Kalotone fuses decades and genres into compositions - from 90s-style piano, 80s-style drums, 70s-style lead guitar and modern-day lead melodies.
A must-listen for any music fan.
