The synthetic is not far from the organic as petrol becomes plastic, and this album share this quality. From jungle atmospheres to the glassy and futuristic vision of "Cité Utopie", Soleil Vert delivers a texture-rich album driven by a strong emotional feel.

In line with Soleil Vert previous album release, "Du déluge au désert", L'Ère du pétrole" is bound to appeal to a surprising array of open-minded listeners, from fans of ambient/IDM genres to those coming from psychedelic and space-rock references.
