Simone Molinaro (ca. 1570 - 1634), was one of the greatest lute composers of the late Renaissance in Italy. The focus of this album is on his lute book "Intavolatura di liuto", published 1599 in Venice. It contains examples of his fantasias, dance music and intabulations of vocal works performed by Paul Beier.
