Nathan Mathes : American Whitecaps.
Melody-driven indie-folk.
American Whitecaps can best be described as an indie-folk album. It was recorded
by one man in his basement studio in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The instrument sounds
are organic and real, recorded in a real room. The lyrics are poetic and
allusive. The vocal melodies are original, but seem somewhat familiar. American
Whitecaps is an album not so much meant to convey thoughts, but to convey
emotion.
