From the land of great back-catalog comes LVX Nova's self-titled release of 1997, a nicely atmospheric ambient album overlaid with acid jazz and rock grooves. This album started off as guitarist DeVito's thesis on the progression of ambient and electronic music, but when he teamed up with keyboardist Meengs, the project took on a whole new life of its own. DeVito's guitar work hearkens back to Edgar Froese's work with Tangerine Dream, while his solo style has shades of early David Gilmour.
