Demarzi-6 Sonatas for Cetra o Kitara by Doc Rossi Doc Rossi : Demarzi-6 Sonatas for Cetra o Kitara.
Baroque cittern.

Eighteenth-century cittern music played on an original 18th-century cittern plus archlute and baroque guitar. Six sonatas by Pasqualino de Marzi plus six solos of Irish traditional music.

Originally from Michigan, Doc Rossi has performed across North America and Europe and has recorded with various groups, playing Early Music, Hawaiian Slack-key guitar and Irish, Mexican and American traditional music. One of only a handful of players who specialize in the 18th-century cittern, his publications include The Compleat Cittern, a tutor for 18th-century cittern (with transcriptions for guitar and other six-course instruments), the English translation of Andrea Damiani's Method for Renaissance Lute, and The Original Guitar Styles of Jerry Donahue. Also a scholar, Doc has prepared a modern edition of Thomas Robinson's New Citharen Lessons (1609), and published numerous articles dealing with guitar and cittern history, and with Shakespeare, Brecht, and the Beat Generation. In addition to being a soloist Doc also performs and records with The Bacheler Consort, Robert Amyot and Taro Takeuchi.
